#HERLYFE is a collective movement advocating for freedom from decades of incarceration and amplifying the voices of incarcerated women by illuminating their distinct experiences, resilience, and vitality.

#HERLYFE envisions a world where the existence of incarcerated women is never forgotten but instead uplifted. Through advocacy, story-telling, and collective action, we strive to break cycles of silence, inspire systemic change, and affirm that every woman’s life holds purpose, power, and possibility beyond incarceration.

#HERLYFE YELLOW

Yellow Voices, Endless Possibilities

Yellow: A Symbol of Hope and Strength. Yellow isn’t just a bright, cheerful color — it carries meaning that perfectly reflects the spirit of #HERLYFE. #HERLYFE is capitalized and embolden to symbolize HER Voice, HER Power, HER Life! Joy & Resilience: Yellow carries happiness, optimism, and cheerfulness. For #HERLYFE it represents the strength and resilience of women who shine even in challenging circumstances. Wisdom & Clarity: Just as yellow signifies intellect and knowledge, #HERLYFE celebrates the wisdom of women whose stories are too often overlooked, making their stories visible, honored and valued. Hope & Freedom: The yellow ribbon is universal symbol of hope and remembrance. It mirrors #HERLYFE mission to honor incarcerated women while advocating for freedom and second chances. In short: Yellow is more than just a color — it’s a beacon of hope, strength, and light for women whose voices deserve to be seen and heard.

OCTOBER 2025

October is already a month of awareness campaigns — like Breast Cancer Awareness with pink. By claiming yellow for #HERLyfe, we add a bold, radiant counterpoint, a reminder of hope, wisdom, and freedom for incarcerated women.

Yellow in October also evokes the warmth of autumn sunlight and leaves, echoing #HERLyfe’s commitment to illuminate women’s stories and celebrate their resilience.

Beginning October 2025, we honor their lives, their voices, and their futures in yellow!
