On Monday, April 6, 2026, at 2:30 PM, I, LaQuintae, will be presenting live online to Adelphi University students, followed by an interactive Q&A session.

In honor of Women’s History Month, I will take students through parts of my life journey—from past experiences to where I stand today—highlighting the realities, growth, and resilience that continue to shape my path.

This moment is not just about storytelling, but about connection, truth, and reflection—creating space for meaningful dialogue and understanding.

April 6, 2026, our very own COO, Tami Eldridge, will make her debut as an author with the release of her poetry book:

SANE INSANITY: THE DISTORTED REALITY OF TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OF INCARCERATION

“Proceeds from Sane Insanity will be reinvested into LQ Operations, directly fueling the growth and expansion of AOCC—strengthening our ability to create impact, build opportunities, and serve the community.”

During this interactive engagement, I will be reading the foreword from the book Sane Insanity—offering a closer look into its heartbeat from my perspective. I will also be sharing one of my favorite poems, along with the deep personal meaning it holds for me.

UPCOMING — May 8

On a personal note, my mom, Tami, and I recently experienced something truly profound: after over ten years without an FRP (Family Reunion Program) visit. We were granted our first December 2025—and have now had three together. This recognition of change is almost unheard of in NYC prison systems, and we are deeply grateful to the system for acknowledging Tami’s growth.

I am honored to share that on May 8th, I will be a speaker at the Second Look Symposium at Brooklyn Law School, alongside Chief Judge Rowan Wilson and Assembly Member Latrice Walker, hosted by the Center for Community Alternatives (CCA). We will shine a light on the Second Look Act—its importance, its relevance to my life, and the lives of so many others. Beyond the symposium, April 20 I will be in Albany with CCA, advocating directly to legislators about why this act matters.

“To continue this fight alongside CCA, I aim to fight for Tami’s freedom out loud, share our story in hopes that recognition and opportunity reach beyond prison walls, and impact countless others who deserve a second chance.”

For Women’s Month Tami express to me “If you can think it we can do it” —inspired by Imagination: A Manifesto by Ruha Benjamin, this Women’s History Month I reflect as a sole proprietor on how what I once imagined has become my lived reality, proving that when women dare to think beyond limitations, we begin forging pathways, breaking cycles, building futures, and living intentionally.”

This is only the beginning, and I am truly excited to continue this journey with you all alongside Tami Eldridge, LQ Operations, and AOCC.
